EMTE Cleanroom Technology, company of COMSA EMTE, has acquired Eolis América Latina (formerly, Luwa Mexico), a company specialised in engineering, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of air treatment installations and cleanrooms for the biopharmaceutical industry.
Founded in 1967, Eolis has its central headquarters in Mexico D.F. and has a production plant in Puebla. The company has sales offices in both cities, as well as in Monterrey and Guadalajara.
Among its principal customers are Bayer, Sanofi-aventis, Roche, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol and Schering-Plough. At present, Eolis is carrying out an emblematic project for Sanofi Pasteur.
The implementation of EMTE Cleanroom Technology in Mexico represents another step towards the internationalisation of the company and consolidation of its position in Latin America. With this purchase, EMTE Cleanroom Technology reaches a business volume of more than 40 million euro, focussed for the most part on the biopharmaceutical industry, and now employs nearly 300 persons.
